About Aylah

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing virtual therapy services to clients in New York, Florida, and Maine. After obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I went on to get my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Oswego, with the goal of helping people work through blocks toward the best versions of themselves. But beyond my degrees, it’s my lived experience which has led me down this path that most closely informs my work today.

My parents divorced when I was very young, and I grew up navigating two homes with vastly different parenting styles. This experience gave me firsthand insight into family dynamics, life transitions, and, later, the process of identity exploration. I also grew up with a younger sibling with autism, which inspired one of my specialties: working with neurodivergent individuals.

I believe that everyone has the potential to heal and self-actualize, and it is an honor and privilege to watch people transform. While I have a range of specialties, I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. If you are self-motivated and ready to embrace change, it would be my privilege to support you on your journey.

My Style

I like to meet people in the here-and-now. While the past influences our current behaviors, the present moment is the only place we can begin. I use a person-centered and psychodynamic approach to assist individuals in understanding their deep-rooted patterns.
